Biography

Charlene Long started painting in high school.  She continued her education at the University of Cincinnati.  After moving to Florida, Charlene completed her Fine Arts Degree at Broward College and was successful at selling paintings at a restaurant in the Florida Keys. In recent years she has lived and painted in northern Indiana.

Charlene has exhibited at the following juried shows where her work won numerous awards:

  • South Bend Museum of Art
  • Southwestern Michigan College Art Gallery
  • Colfax Center
  • The Box Factory
  • Fernwood Botanical Gardens
  • The Center for History
  • The Jewish Federation

  • Carnegie Center for the Arts
  • Studio Arts South Bend

Charlene has on-going exhibits at Raymond James & Associates and Indiana Trust Investments, both offices in Mishawaka. She was selected as a Hoosier Woman Artist of the year in 2016, 2017, and 2018, showing works in the state capitol building executive offices.

Charlene does commission work which includes, portraits, pets, residences and landscapes.   She maintains her studio at her home in Mishawaka, IN.

  1. Charlene I have a friend in Mishawaka she has a restaurant their named Sunnyside it’s a Korean resturant. Her name is also sunny. If you go to the restaurant tell her Gino said hi.
